Twilight by Stephanie Meyer, is an adventure filled with lust, horror, ans star crossed love. When the main character, Bella, moves form sunny Phoenix, Arizona to dark, ominous Forks, Washington, she is not very excited. Life was a lot different, and much more boring. As she sits through school and gets to know more people, she comes across a very mysterious teenage boy, Edward, in one of her classes. This boy acts strange whenever he was around her and she wanted to get to know him. But his shy personality made it almost impossible. Through out the book, their relationship changes, and Bella uncovers unexplainable stories about Edward and his family. They go through unimaginable freaky adventures together, which could change both their lives forever. What happens to them in the end? Do they end up together, or does Edward's dark secret keep them apart? To find out, read Twilight.

" 'Oh, come on,' I said dubiously. 'You have to know the effect you have on people.'

He tilted his head to one side, and his eyes were curious. 'I dazzle people?'

'You haven't noticed? Do you think everybody gets their way so easily?'

He ignored my questions. 'Do I dazzle you?'

'Frequently,' I admitted."

One of the main themes in Twilight is the fact that Edward Cullen is not like most Vampires. The average vampire is eerie, evil, and live off of nothing but human blood. The Cullen family is nothing like this. They are almost exactly like a normal human family, and they know how to resist the thirst for human blood.

Forks Washington, setting.

Stephanie Meyer, the author of Twilight, has written Twilight and its two sequals, New Moon and Eclipse. She recently came out with her first book aimed towards adults, The Host. This summer, 2008, the fourth book of the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn, will come out in August. The idea of Twilight came to Meyer in a dream. She thought it was interesting, so she wrote it down. It was never meant to be a published book, but when she finished writting, she realized that it could be.

Mary Kauffman says: "Twilight is an awsome book, once I picked it up I couldn't put it down, despite all my teachers telling me to. Edward Cullen is one of the best vampires I've ever read about, and Bella is one of the few main characters who isn't perfect, making her all the more interesting to read about. I can't wait for the fourth book and the movie, so I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did!"
